This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All my special education students deserve to communicate their wants and needs. I will use these items in language, articulation, fluency, and social group activities. They will help the speech students learn how to describe objects, categorize objects, answering comprehension questions during a language task, increase social skills during group activities, and identifying objects and their functions to increase vocabulary. My speech student would be very excited to use these new materials at school. I love the saying and always tell people that "Everyone Deserves a Voice" because every student has something important to say and it’s my job to help them voice it through words, pictures, sign language and/or assistive technology.
