My Students

Do you remember how important it was to you to get your school work published? Well, my students work so hard and they enjoy being able to share their published work with everyone,except, once its on the computer, we have no way to print out and publish what we have created.

We are a 2nd grade inclusion class in a large urban setting.

Our special needs range from autism, learning disabilities, behavioral challenges and mentally gifted. While we all learn in a variety of ways, we all work together as a complete classroom of friends and learning partners.

My Project

My students have been learning to use the computers to write stories, draw illustrations, and to conduct research on various topics. They spend hours creating and completing projects that they are proud of. As a class, we are able to view our finished projects only on the computer screen. We would like to be able to share our accomplishments with the rest of our school community but we do not have a printer to use that allows us to do that. Having this printer will help my students share their published work and feel proud of themselves for a job well done.

We all need to feel we have created something that our peers think is awesome.

Please help my students feel that pride when someone comments on their published work in the hallway of our school.
