This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The selections for a classroom library are so important and can determine how inspired students are to read and learn.

As an educator and someone who has a deep love for reading, I want my classroom library to be a safe and welcoming space with engaging books for them to find their love of reading.

The decor will give our reading area a welcoming atmosphere, so they feel safe enough to be engaged and challenged. Having diverse texts will allow for a representation of my students and reflect the world they live in. Moreover, SEL texts will help give students the proper tools to be kind individuals who can recognize and work through emotions.
