Help Build a Home-School Connection for Struggling Readers!

Help me give my students the ability to build reading skills at home! I'm creating a decodable book lending library to give parents the tools they need to support their struggling readers and reinforce learning outside the classroom.

My Project

Many of my students don’t have access to the right books at home to help them practice their reading. Parents are eager to support their children’s learning, and this decodable book lending library will provide them with the tools they need. Students in grades K-5 will be able to borrow books daily, carrying them in a small pouch between school and home, allowing for regular practice with texts specifically designed to build their reading skills. This library will serve our school’s nearly 700 students, giving them the opportunity to improve their reading with the support of their families.

Your donation will help foster this important connection between home and school, putting the right books in the hands of young readers and empowering parents to be a part of their child’s reading journey.
