This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I currently teach middle school and intermediate-aged special education students in an urban neighborhood on the Northwest side of Chicago. My students are curious, creative, and are always willing to try their best and do hard things.

My classroom is currently a shared learning space with two other teachers who service multiple groups of students throughout the day.

We are currently in need of a new rug, new lounge chairs, floor pillows, and a side table to transform our classroom library into a cozy comfortable place for our students to read, work together, learn, and complete their work.
