This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a group of first grade leaders in Miami, Fl. In our class we strive on finding the leaders from within each and every on of us. Every child is capable of BIG things. My students strive for excellence every single day and always find the leader within themselves.
Great leaders don't tell you what to do, they show you how it is done.
My students demonstrate this daily. I am honored to work along side 25 amazing children in the greatest first grade class. These students are extremely curious and are ready for some hands-on technology activities in our classroom.
My Project
My students would benefit from having these Chromebooks in the classroom because they will have access to many programs that enhance learning in reading and math. During "centers", the class is divided into groups and one of the centers is "technology" where students can work on programs such as iReady and Reflex Math.
This technology will allow my students to learn using a strategy that is interactive.
The Chromebooks will enhance their knowledge in math and reading while also improving their abilities to work with computers. The interactive games that many of these applications offer will keep them interested and motivate them to learn more.
