6th grade has never been so enjoyable! Our days are filled with engaging real life situation structured math along with a wide variety of reading and writing, but my students are most excited for Science and technology.
My school is full of loving adults who would do just about anything for the amazing students we serve.
Most of our students have experienced many hardships in their short lives, often including generational poverty. Despite the hardships, my students always come to school with a smile and their faces and questions to ask. They are eager to be part of the learning. They are constantly asking questions, promoting much deeper thinking.
My Project
An iPad in my classroom with help students participate more often in the learning. Students will be able to use the iPad to improve vocabulary skills, writing and grammar skills and of course math and Science. An iPad will also help students set goals and track them. I have a high special education population in my classroom, most of the my special ed students would benefit from have something more hands on and with more visual assistance. It also can provide more materials at their specific levels. When the iPad isn't in the direct hands of a student, I will use it to do classroom demonstrations and help with classroom management along with communicate with parents. The possibilities are endless when you put technology in the hands of our children.
Your donations will help my students immensely!
It will help students become more engaged and excited about the learning. It will help answer their questions with more demonstrations. An iPad will help me have engaging classroom management strategies that automatically tracks data and communicates with parents.
