Help Bring Organization & Flexible Seating to My 5th graders.
Help me give my students flexible seating and organization. I will use the exercise ball & benches as flexible work stations to help students who struggle with sitting at a desk. The chair pockets will help with organization.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These flexible seating and organization tools will help students who struggle with staying seated for a long time and who can never keep track of their things.
As a 5th grade teacher, I try to empower my students to become independent and one of the ways I do that is by teaching them executive functioning skills, so they can learn how to make effective choices for themselves.
Sometimes, students need a change of scenery and the flexible seating items will help with that! I also am a strong believer in organization. As I always say, “messy desk, messy mind”. I want my students to have tools that will help them to keep their desks clear and find a place for everything so they can become successful in school and life. Thank you for your consideration!
