Help Bring Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga to My Classroom!
I need funding to enroll in an online course that teaches mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning, and children's yoga. This professional development opportunity will give me the tools to integrate these practices into my art lessons.
As a dedicated Visual Arts teacher in a Title I school, I see firsthand the impact that stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges can have on my students’ well-being and ability to learn. Many of my students face difficult circumstances outside the classroom, and I want to do more to support their social and emotional development.
I’m seeking funding to enroll in an online course that teaches mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and children's yoga.
This professional development opportunity will give me the tools to integrate these practices into my art lessons, providing students with the skills to regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety, and build confidence. By merging mindfulness and SEL with art, I can create a more holistic learning environment where my students feel safe, supported, and ready to thrive both emotionally and academically.
