As a speech-language pathologist working with K-8 students, I strive to make therapy a safe, inviting, and joyful experience where kids can build confidence in their communication and life skills. Research shows that play is the best way for children to learn and generalize speech and language skills. Through play, kids naturally engage in conversations, problem-solving, and social interactions, all crucial for developing strong communication abilities.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the extra funds to provide the materials and resources that make speech therapy more effective and engaging.
With your support, I can create a play-based learning environment filled with games, hands-on activities, and real-life scenarios that help my students practice communication in meaningful ways.
