In my classroom everyone is a teacher, a learner, and a leader. My students come from diverse backgrounds which makes them all unique in different ways. The environment I create in my classroom is a warm and welcoming environment for each of my students to feel safe and loved. My students come from a background of hardships that they face outside of school, so I strive to make my classroom a safe space with lots of learning and engagement.
My Project
A colored printer would enhance student learning in my classroom. Teaching science, students need to analyze data, graphs, pictures, and more. Doing these thing in black and white ink would make these assignments less engaging and more difficult. This would also allow me to create and print activities needed in my classroom, without running to the front of the school each time. Having a colored printer in my classroom would also create opportunities for my students to show case their work. With these resources, we can print out our work, make copies of our work, and so much more.
