My students need a microscope to make observing microscopic specimens accessible, fun, and engaging!

My Students
Welcome to my classroom! I teach high school Biology at a diverse high school Maryland. I try my best to present students with engaging lessons that broaden their scope of the living world around them.
I have the privilege of working with a diverse group of students every day.
I work with students in inclusion Biology classes up through students taking IB Biology. The students in my inclusion class are enthusiastic learners. Despite the fact that many of the students have learning disabilities, or are just learning English (or both), they come to class each day eager to learn. Their enthusiasm is what motivates me to work so hard to develop interesting lessons that are differentiated for their varying needs.
My Project
Unfortunately, despite their enthusiasm, many of my students have cognitive or physical impairments that keep them from fully participating in activities or accessing content. While I do my best to differentiate content to make it accessible to my diverse learners, I am always looking for ways to improve everyone's learning experience.
One learning situation that could be improved is working with microscopes. This is an integral part of biology, but difficult for students who struggle with fine motor skills or working independently from the teacher. To address these issues, I am requesting a digital microscope, which will benefit all students, but specifically those with the difficulties mentioned above.
The digital microscope requested will allow students to see microscopic images without having to utilize fine motor skills required to work the microscope.
It will also help to facilitate small group work with support from a co-teacher or paraeducator for students with accommodations. By projecting the microscopic images onto a large screen, students can all access the images clearly and discuss their meanings. This also allows me to save images from the microscope to post to my class website.
