This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year, I am the new art teacher at my school. I want to inspire the children to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art, but I need art materials to do that.
I want my students to explore different materials while creating art projects.
I need collage trays so my students can do collages.
I need liquid tempera paint, brushes, and markers for my students to draw and color. I will use the materials to connect our art projects to some of the themes that they are exploring in their literacy, social studies, and science units.
My Project
I work in a school in Brooklyn that has almost eight hundred students from Pre-k to fifth grade. I will be working with most of them during this year, teaching art.
They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.
I want my young artists to have a chance to express themselves through art projects that they can share with their loved ones.
