Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The classroom rug is the most integral part of a lower grades classroom. It is where all the magic of learning happens! Getting this rug donated would be a huge game changer as I get started. It makes a difference by keeping the student’s close and focused during learning but allows connections to be built in the morning through play.
My goal for this project is to have a good start for my future classroom.
Rugs are expensive but it is the most important start for a classroom. This would take a load off of me and allow for me to spend my funds in other areas to help start my classroom.
My future students are already so special to me and I haven’t even gotten to meet them yet. I will be teaching in a low income school that gets lots of families that are fresh to the country. Many kids at my future school often come from lower income homes and can often face trauma in the home. My classroom will be a second home for them and I plan to provide a safe space with lot’s of love. Thank you in advance for helping me on my journey for my students and I!
