My Project
Hello all! My name is Fanny Cerezo; I'll love to start by saying that this is my first year as an Bilingual Teacher. I am happy to share that I am part of this bilingual program called Bilingual Pupil Services for the New York City Department of Education and I enjoy every bit of it. My role in this program is to focus on helping ELLs, which stands for English Language Learners, to help them acclimate to the culture, especially those that have transferred from an education system in another country. Aside that I will help lesson plan, lead class activities, grade assignments and work together as a team with the General Education lead teacher. This iPad will be for both my ELL students and me because it will help keep track of my student's growth and help my students in so many ways. I cannot wait to show them many different third-party apps that can help them improve their language skills, practice oral language, and communicate in various ways. In my elementary days (K-5), I was also a bilingual student, and I know how frustrating and hard it can be not to be able to communicate with your classmates or teacher, so this is why I am so passionate about my job. I want to be that teacher they never forget and can count on always!
