HELP! 38 Kids in a Small Classroom!

My students need room to move in the classroom so I need outside storage to give the children more space in my room.

My Students

I will be teaching a class of multicultural 4th graders that are a mixture of ELD, Special Needs, and Gifted students. They are eager students who are ready to learn and trying their best.

Almost a third of our students come from low-income families that cannot provide them with the resources they need to help give their child the best education possible.

These students are the ones on the free/reduced-price lunch list.

With the diverse students in my class, I always find myself modifying everything I teach.

My Project

I teach at a school that was built in the 1920s. Everything is outdated and the storage space is limited. That being said, I am currently teaching 32 students in my classroom and next year I will have 36-38 students. As a result, I will have to fit in tables to accommodate 4-6 more students.

Where are these kids going to sit and how an I going to make everything fit in my classroom??!

The thought alone is puzzling! I feel like I am playing a game of Tetris to maximize the space and to make sure it's ideal for my students. One thing I thought would help is an outside storage bin. This way I can put the things I don't need daily in the bin and access it when needed. This will open up some floor space and give the children more space to move around my classroom. I considered going to the store and buying it myself however I cannot afford it. Please help us out!!!!
