My Students

My students are amazing little beings. They love to learn and explore through play. They are hard working and fun. They come from low income homes and the TLC offered at our school is just what they need to start their education on the right foot.

This year, of course, has been a very different kind of year.

We are in constant need of art supplies and materials that we can send home with the students. We are preparing bags of materials each month, that the parents pick up from school, so that we can use those items in our small group zoom sessions. These materials need to be disposable and are quite costly to continually replace.

My Project

Being virtual, in PreK, means handing out a lot of disposable items each month. Our supply is running low and we still have many more months left in our year.

We would love to give our children the opportunity for more dramatic play, while giving them the opportunity to create their own magic.

By giving them items such as crowns, jewels, and various other art supplies it allows them to be the leader that they want to be. They show their own independence and thought process in the ways in which the develop and create for their own purpose and fun.

Art works on many areas of development. Language, fine motor, social studies, and so on.
