This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine having your students reading and math levels at your fingertips? It is possible now more than ever before. Having an iPad in our classroom will make this a reality.

I teach first grade in a high ability gifted magnet.

These students learn very quickly and I am always looking for new ways to excite them about learning. Having an iPad will bring us endless opportunities for this. I look forward to the potential having this device will bring into my classroom.

My Project

Many of the textbook companies are including technology in their curriculum but in order to take advantage of these resources we need to be able to get it into the student's hands. Having an iPad will help me complete comprehensive reading assessments but will offer so much more. We can read books, play educational games, present slide shows, visit websites and more. The possibilities are truly endless.

I know many schools are going to be changing from textbooks to iPads and other devices like this in the future.

Being able to teach my first grade students how to use these types of devices will help them in the future.
