My Project
Many of my students have experienced challenges in their lives and have difficulty coming to school and concentrating on the tasks at hand, so learning needs to be fun and factual.
Our classes serve students with a range of challenges, including homelessness, crime and violence, and specific learning disabilities.
The typical student in my class reads at a 3rd-grade level and many struggles with basic number sense. 90% of our students are African American or Latino receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
My students attend a Title I school and for this very reason, parents cannot afford to give a child a simple gift as going to the movie.
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading and writing.
Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read and write about superheroes and villains.
Each child will be given note books to create journals for Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies so they can develop their writing and data keeping skills.
