Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 2nd grade students love to learn, explore, and practice what they have learned. They are energetic, creative, and enjoy every moment of learning .
Their appreciation for education is evident every day when they use their creativity and knowledge in the classroom.
My 2nd grade students come from a high poverty community that encounters economic challenges every day. About 95 % of my students receive free lunch.
My students deserve a good quality education where they can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Unfortunately, due to a budget deficit, the school is not able to provide all the materials needed to ease the learning of my students.
My Project
My wonderful students will use the materials and supplies that I am requesting to boost their love for learning. My students will take home the supplies to continue learning in the summer. The mechanical pencils, pens, and post-it notes will allow them to practice strategies learned during the reading and writing blocks. The play dough slime, stamps, and stickers will be used as manipulatives to practice math.
The donations to this project will motivate my students to continue learning in the summer.
My students will be so excited to use these supplies that I'm sure they will see learning as a reward experience.
