This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach math at a Title 1 school where we have amazing students. Most of our students genuinely want to learn. Sixth graders unfortunately aren't known for their personal hygiene. I am creating this project to restock much needed supplies to keep my students safe.
The Kleenex and hand sanitizer will help to limit the spread of germs from student to student in my classroom.
Even though my students are in middle school, they aren't the cleanest and safest people. The Band-Aids are needed because somehow the kids ALWAYS need a bandage. Having these in class means I don't have to send a kid to the office or nurse to get one, and they miss less learning time.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
