My Project
Hello and thank you for considering donating to my first grade classroom! I am a first year teacher and recent college graduate! I am moving from Ohio to warm, sunny, beautiful Florida to begin my teaching career! With that being said, I am starting from scratch and want to be able to create the best learning environment for my students! Your donation helps make that possible!
Inclusion is very important in my classroom, therefore encouraging an environment where students can sit together to learn together will honor my teaching philosophy.
I would love to have my students sitting on a rug in a circle for some of my lessons. In math we use lots of manipulatives and play games together which work so much better sitting on the floor. When explaining concepts to my students while at the carpet or while I am reading them a story, I would love to have an easel to make graphic organizers with my students so they can see the connection to the lesson through writing. I have been browsing TPT, and there are lots of bundles I would love to buy for my students. There are really great reading comprehension short stories with questions that I think first graders would really benefit from. I would also be able to find more resources for my struggling students who might be below grade level, for example I am able to search for exactly what they need help with and find a resource to accompany my teaching.
