My Students

As the Visual and Performing Arts Teacher at my school, I get to interact with my Elementary students in fun and engaging ways. From art projects to musical performances, I try to provide students with experiences that allow them to express themselves in fun and creative ways.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but through visual and performing arts, ALL students are provided opportunities to shine.

Some students who may be struggling academically have found greater success through music and art.

My Project

Each art project we do has prep work involved. A new paper cutter would help make our prep time more efficient.

Our Meet the Masters art program provides visual arts experiences for all of our students in PreK-6th grades.

Students study a variety of artists from different eras and use different genres to create art projects in the style of each artist. In April of each year, we host an "Art Night" where EACH student has at least one art project displayed. We also host an Art Contest for each grade level as a part of this event. Having a new paper cutter would cut down on prep time and allow me to focus more time with the students.
