Heat Protecting Visors and Thirst Quenching Water Bottles
Help me give my students athletic mesh visors and water bottles to keep their bodies cool and to shield the hot sun.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Title I, level I (lowest 25%) Specific Learning Disabled (SLD), Emotionally/Behavioral Disabled (EBD) high school students are in ICU! Yes, they are enrolled in Intensive Reading Plus (+)! More than 90% of the student population qualifies for free and/or reduced-price lunch. Approximately 80% of the students live in single-family homes.
These 9th and10th-grade remedial readers attend a Title I school.
There is a negative stigma to Intensive Reading/ or Intensive Reading Plus classes. Some have Individual Education Plans while others really struggle to remain proficient students in English and Math. For these students inclusion into positive words will not only help to close the achievement gap but put much needed academic confidence into the hands of students.
My Project
As we begin our new cheer season, we really need water bottles and sun visors. We practice daily outside in the Miami sun. Please donate to our project.
Several cheerleaders need to stay active physically, mentally and emotionally.
Parents and guardians, as well as the athletes, love team bonding activities. Additionally, high school students need something positive to do that brings and attracts positive energy. Many of the students also say cheering is their "happy place" it helps them and this project makes a huge difference in mood, disposition, and behavior. Being taught to be a leader is definitely a positive!
