This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The Spring of 2025 will be my second year teaching Human Anatomy class to high school students who are interested in working in the medical field and love learning about the human body.
I hope to equip my students with stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs to teach them about the heart lungs and digestive systems, as well as a working heart model so that students have a better idea of how blood flows through the heart.
Last year, I only had two working stethoscopes for an entire class, which made teaching everyone at the same time difficult. This year, I would like to have enough equipment for students to be able to work in partners. A bonus was finding stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs in fun colors!
My students are so special because they love learning and many go on to four year colleges where they study medicine, becoming the future of our hospitals!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
