Heart of the Community: Taft Cluster Program's Student-Run Snack Initiative

Help me give my students the supplies needed for a student-run snack cart to support their communication, vocational, social and life skills in the Taft community

My Project

Our cluster program serves students who are medically fragile, and require support with daily living skills. Our 12 students have a variety of gifts and talents, and we believe that they are the heart of the Taft community. To further support their community engagement, our goal is to create and sustain a Student-Run Snack Cart for our Severe and Profound Cluster program. This initiative will serve as an engaging, authentic, and functional learning platform to teach our students essential communication, vocational, social, and life skills in a supportive and structured environment. Students will visit teacher offices, providing a small snack to teachers during their preparation periods. Students will use their communication devices, or voice recording buttons to interact with the adults.
