Help me give my students materials to explain to their teachers and peers how bone anchored hearing aids work.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. R.'s classroom raised $165
This project is fully funded
My Project
Many of my students have bone anchored hearing aids (BAHAs) that allow them to hear through bone conduction. BAHAs are placed on the bone behind the ear. They pick up the sound waves in the air and send them to the inner ear, bypassing the outer and middle ear.
Materials that show how bone anchored hearing aids work can bring the verbal explanation to life.
Bone conduction headphones can give teachers and peers first hand experience on how hearing through bone conduction works and sounds. Additionally, having a book where the main character wears a BAHA and explains about the technology, can help teachers and peers understand my students' BAHAs and how they work.
