Our school is considered a Title I school, serving students in grades Pre-K through fifth. My first grade students are very diverse. Some of them come from various ethnic backgrounds, some come from single family homes, living in poverty-level conditions. Some have learning disabilities, and some are gifted academically. Our school is one of the main sites providing services for English Language Learners in our district.
My goal is to provide my students with the best learning opportunities, so that they can learn in ways that best fit their needs.
I hope that you choose to partner with our class to help make that happen!
My Project
Technology is a vital part of our Math and Science instruction. Students practice math skills through online programs and the teacher is able view student data in order to provide personalized support for individual learner's.
In Science, students often dig deeper into our topics of study through Brain Pop, Jr and kid friendly sites.
Online research into topics like plants, animals, weather keeps students engaged and excited about learning! It is very difficult for students to concentrate without headphones on. Students also have difficulty hearing the instructions on their program without a set of headphones. Headphones would greatly improved our use of technology in Math and Science.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
