My Students

Each of my students is wonderfully unique! Curious, kind, and amazing, their willingness to tackle any challenge drives me to be the best teacher I can possibly be, which makes me want to create a fun, welcoming environment where learning may happen.

Approximately half of our school is economically disadvantaged.

With nearly 33% of my kiddos receiving educational accommodations or modifications, learning isn't always easy for them, but that does not deter them from giving 100% when they are at school.

My Project

While we add headphones or earbuds to the supply list every year, inevitably by mid-year, we have a classroom of students needing to "borrow headphones". I provided 50 cheap sets of earbuds at the beginning of the year, but they just don't have the longevity or endurance to last. These headsets were recommended by other educators for their quality and ability to survive the classroom.

My students need headphones in class to build their reading skills.

Whether they use it with iStation, audiobooks, or audio versions to help build their reading stamina, this is just a necessity I cannot avoid and I appreciate your help in providing them!
