My students need a class set of headphones to listen to educational movies and podcasts, and make their own movies and podcasts.

My Students

Our school has a new 1:1 student to laptop ratio, but our students are limited in the functions that can use on the laptop that require sound because they do not have headphones.

My students all come from some sort of disadvantaged background whether it be familial, personal, or educational.

Everyday I am astonished that despite all of the challenges they face outside of school that they continue to get up every morning and come to school. In an attempt to make sure that the students have a new, positive educational experience, the staff of my school is trying to revolutionize the look and feel of education to today's technology-oriented students.

My Project

We are very fortunate to have a laptop for every student to use in order to meet their 21st century demands, however, we are limited in some of the tools they can use and projects they can create because all of the students do not have headphones. As students begin working on projects and assignments, the noise level gets so chaotic that it is hard to understand and hear what is happening right in front of your face.

Having a class set of headphones for students to borrow would allow students the option to employ various 21st century skills by creating projects and using technology to enhance their educational experience without the chaos and distractions that come with 30 different computers making 30 different sounds at the same time.
