This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher in a Title I school district, I see firsthand how important it is to provide students with the tools they need to succeed. Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom that are completely out of their control, but when they walk through our classroom door, they know they’ve entered a safe, supportive space where learning comes alive. With your help, we can make that environment even more effective by giving students access to high-quality headphones—and an organized way to store them.

In our classroom, students use educational programs daily to build foundational skills in reading, math, and more.

These programs are personalized and powerful—but they all require sound. Without headphones, it’s difficult for students to concentrate. The classroom quickly becomes noisy and overwhelming, especially for students with learning differences or attention needs.

That’s why I’m requesting a class set of durable headphones, along with a hanging headphone organizer to keep them stored safely and cleanly. This system will not only support learning but also help maintain a calm, organized classroom.

Many of my students’ families are unable to purchase headphones on their own, and school budgets don’t always stretch far enough to cover classroom sets. Your donation will ensure that every child in my classroom has equal access to the tools they need to thrive.
