This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a vibrant group of 4th-grade students in a high-poverty urban school. Despite the many challenges they face outside of school, they come in every day with bright smiles, eager to learn and grow. Many of my students are English language learners or receive special education services, and they rely heavily on technology-based supports to access grade-level content.
My Project:
We use online programs like i-Ready, Benchmark, and HMH Science every day to support reading and math growth. Unfortunately, without headphones, it’s hard for students to focus. The noise from multiple devices in a shared classroom makes it difficult to concentrate, especially for those who need extra support or individualized instruction.
With these headphones, each student will be able to focus on their learning path without distraction. They’ll be able to listen to read-alouds, work on phonics, practice fluency, and hear math instructions clearly—giving them the tools they need to succeed.
