Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My Students:

My students are bright, eager learners from a low-income community.

Many of them face daily challenges outside of school, but when they walk into our classroom, they bring curiosity, resilience, and a desire to grow. They thrive when given the right tools and support to help them focus and learn at their own pace.

Our classroom uses online reading programs, learning games, and audio books to support literacy, language development, and math skills. Unfortunately, without reliable headphones, it's hard for students to concentrate, especially when multiple programs are running at the same time.

This project will provide each student with their own set of headphones — a small tool that makes a huge impact. With headphones, my students can engage more deeply in personalized learning, minimize distractions, and build independence.

The Impact:

For many of my students, school is the one place they can access technology and quiet space to learn. These headphones will help level the playing field, giving every child the chance to listen, learn, and succeed — no matter their circumstances.
