Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students all come to school with different sets of needs and experiences. Teachers in this building all work to provide many needs for our students, beyond the rigorous curriculum. The day is long, and we all provide challenging lessons within a rigorous curriculum. When young children are hungry, they show it in their behavior, their attitude and ability to focus. As a specialist elementary teacher, I see all the students in the school and offering snacks to students is a small gesture of providing their basic needs, so they can concentrate on the learning of the day. And..getting through the day is just a little easier and enjoyable with a little snack.
