Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first DonorsChoose project! I am requesting funding for snacks that I will give to students during ACCESS testing in the winter. The snacks will help them focus during the long periods of ACCESS testing. Students will be participating in 4 testing sessions that last 2-3 hours at a time. I chose snacks that I know my students will like and eat. Gum is a fun treat that they get for doing their best work. ML students see the gum and snacks as a fun perk of testing. Students spend months practicing for the ACCESS test and I would love to give them a treat for their hard work. A handful of my students come from low income homes. Families are unable to provide snacks for their students. Many of these students rely on school provided snack and meals in order to eat. Please consider donating to my project. Thank you!
