Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most students don't come to school with basic classroom materials (erasers, rulers), or eating breakfast (granola bars, Goldfish crackers). Many students come from low income families. I have two classes where their lunch starts at 1:16pm and students are hungry during class. This helps me be able to provide a snack until they have lunch.
Students work and function better on a stomach that isn't hungry.
The Clorox wipes will help to keep our classroom clean from germs by wiping desks and tables. I have 6 classes where many students use Kleenex to blow their nose, especially with a cold or sinus issues. All of these items are essential to my students.
