Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I absolutely love the vibrant energy and diverse perspectives that each student brings to our third-grade class. Every child contributes a unique background, creating a rich tapestry of experiences in our classroom. The snacks and posters are aimed at promoting nutritious snacking align perfectly with my students' overall well-being.
Teaching my third-grade kids the value of a nutritious diet is the major goal of this project, especially in light of the large proportion of low-income and English Language Learners (ELL) in our class.
We want to accomplish this by offering educational resources and planning a special day devoted to healthful snacking. We are also thrilled to incorporate this program with our school garden, enabling students to invite neighbors to participate in our impending spring crop. This joint endeavor will highlight the accomplishments of our school garden and encourage healthy behaviors while fortifying our ties to the community.
