My Project

I love that my students show up each day ready to learn, work with their hands, and grow as young professionals. Many come from challenging circumstances, yet they bring passion, creativity, and pride to our culinary lab. They’re not just cooking — they’re building real-world skills and discovering their potential.

The water filters will provide clean, safe water for cooking and drinking — a basic need and a critical one in foodservice.

The food preservation tools will help us reduce waste, store ingredients properly, and extend the life of our products — key lessons in safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

We’ll also use mason jars to teach fermentation, using produce from our school garden to make pickles, kimchi, and more. This hands-on experience deepens their understanding of food science, tradition, and flavor development.

Each resource helps make our kitchen a safer, more professional space where students can focus on learning, creating, and preparing for careers in culinary arts.
