Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With these supplies, we will encourage our students to take steps towards good health by eating healthy snacks during the school day.

My students care about their health--help them stay healthy and happy at school!

The snacks we received earlier this year through Donors Choose have kept our students going for more that 100 school days! We had noticed that they get tired and cranky when the energy from breakfast wears off (or when they've missed breakfast). They need fuel for their growing brains!

With options like granola bars and popcorn, we can offer them a snack, and educate them about healthy eating habits at the same time.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, our students have worried about their health and the health of their families. By giving them the tools and skills to take care of themselves and the world around them, you'll be helping them prepare for a happy, healthy life!
