This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have several students who have chronic head lice and unfortunately has spread among others at school. After speaking with the students I realized this problem is affecting them by lowering their self confidence. No healthy child should feel excluded or have to miss school because of head lice.

The primary goal of lice infestation in the school setting is to ensure that the child receives safe and effective treatment and educating parents/guardians of treatment and prevention.

My students come from low-income families and need every advantage they can get. I want to ensure that they have all the necessary tools to gain their confidence back and not have the stress or worry of unhealthy hair. These supplies will be accessible to students to keep their hair clean and free of lice.
