Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in Grade 2 are inquisitive and energetic. Nearly all individuals are from low-income households. As we begin a new academic year during a global pandemic I want to provide all necessary tools for a healthy,successful school year! Students enjoy learning about various types of careers and community helpers. Questions abound in my learning environment,and I encourage my class to be engaged thinkers. We ALL have numerous questions about the impact of COVID-19. Will you help us stay healthy while we ask essential questions in a healthy environment?
I am seeking donations for a healthy classroom.
Items like disinfecting wipes, spray,paper towels,etc.will help us stay healthy!Time for Kids magazines will help students stay up to date on the development of the virus as well as other current events.
My Project
The resources I have requested will provide support to the Grade 2 students in two specific ways.
Students will have access to cleaning supplies and resources to maintain a healthy learning environment.
Wipes,paper towels and cleaner will maintain a healthy classroom. Kleenex will provide personal comfort to students.
The Time for Kids magazines will provide students with grade appropriate,current event news. As we learn more about COVID-19,I want my students to see the importance of science,medicine and professionals who work in those fields of expertise. Role models are all around students,and I want them to feel empowered during this global pandemic.
