This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are writing to request funding to support our student-led snack cart initiative, a program aimed at fostering vocational and social skills development among our special needs students. We are also seeking assistance in providing healthy snacks to enhance the overall well-being of our students.

The student-led snack cart is a dynamic platform for our students to develop crucial social skills.

Interacting with peers and customers, they learn the art of effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. These skills are essential for successful integration into society and future employment.

In addition to the above, we are committed to promoting the well-being of our students by offering healthy snack options. We believe that providing nutritious snacks aligns with our mission to support their physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Healthy snacks not only contribute to better overall health but also enhance cognitive functioning, allowing our students to excel in their studies and social interactions.

With your contribution, we can continue to provide our students with these invaluable learning opportunities while ensuring that they have access to nutritious snacks. Your support will help us maintain and expand this program, making a lasting impact on the lives of our special needs students. This request includes a multitude of healthy snacks as well as Lysol wipes which we can use to clean the cart and ensure a hygienic experience for all.
