Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my middle school are some of the most active and playful students I have taught in my career. PE is one of their favorite classes because they are able to move and unwind from the rigor of their other academic classes.
Our students take pride in many different physical activities and are constantly looking for opportunities to be active.
They arrive to class ready to learn and exercise. Working with such an active and fun student body is a pleasure and a gift.
My Project
These Disarticulated Skeleton and a Body Systems Structures and Functions set will allow our students to visualize difficult concepts only attainable through hands-on activities. Reading about the human body is no comparison to being able to feel and see the inner workings. Our students will be able to build, analyze, and deconstruct the framework for how humans operate.
Developing healthy humans who are knowledgeable about their bodies is something our middle school takes pride in.
This year, our health and physical education classes are implementing weekly health lessons to guide our students to become well informed individuals who take pride in taking care of their bodies.
