My Project

My 5th graders love recess — it's their chance to move, laugh, and build friendships. However, despite their enjoyment of active play, they often lack access to quality recess equipment. Our school serves a low-income community, and many families simply can’t afford to donate or provide extras like jump ropes, balls, or games.

This project, Healthy Bodies = Healthy Minds, will provide our students with assorted balls, jump ropes, and throwing and catching games, that they need to stay active, engaged, and healthy during recess.

With your help, we can create a space where every child has the opportunity to run, play, and recharge—physically and mentally.

Recess isn’t just “free time.” It’s essential for physical development, emotional well-being, and improved focus in the classroom. When kids move their bodies, they’re better able to use their minds. Please consider helping us turn our recess into a time of joy, movement, and growth!
