My Students

My students are bright, energetic, and oh-so-curious! These 4th & 5th grade students come from different socioeconomic backgrounds and nationalities to form a special kind of learning community in my gifted education enrichment classroom in a small city in Mississippi.

Students come to my gifted class once a week eager to get their minds working and their hands dirty as we tackle projects that develop critical thinking, problem-solving strategies, and team-building.

I am fortunate to work with my students for two consecutive years, and that means I have to keep the learning new, fresh, and exciting. My students teach me as much as I teach them and I do my best to keep up!

My Project

Help us work together safely in our classroom with these personal space desk dividers. My students sit together at rectangular tables in our gifted classroom -- great for collaboration, but not so great for health and hygiene during the COVID pandemic.

We need 12 "Personal Space" clear desk dividers to set on top of our tables so students can sit at the same table and still follow health and safety guidelines.

These dividers will give students their own personal space while still allowing them to see their classmates and teacher. They're portable, washable, and will help us keep our shared space safe.
