Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a Title I school where 100% of the students qualify to receive free breakfast and lunch. I currently have 20 scholars who are eager to learn and despite the challenges in today's world, they come in with a huge smile that can be seen through their masks.

My favorite part of the day is our end of the day class meeting, when they each get one minute to share how they feel or what they liked that we did during the day.

My Project

The biggest priority this year is keeping our students healthy and safe with COVID going around. These products will help my students stay clean and keep germs away like the Germ Guardian. The wipes are used daily for students to wipe their desks and materials throughout the day. Students have allotted times to wash their hands, which is why we will use the soap to constantly and effectively. The granola bars will be given to students who come in late and miss breakfast, so they are ready to learn and not hungry. Masks will be given to students to make sure they have an additional layer of protection during this COVID pandemic.

As you can see, all these resources will benefit my students to protect them, stay healthy, warm, and safe in the fabulous first grade!
