This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My preschool students are three to five years old. My school is in sunny California where children come to school each morning ready to learn and grow! There's never a dull moment in our class, my students are busy bees moving from one interest area to another. They're eager to learn, explore, engage and experiment with the instructional materials and centers I set up for them.
My students need instructional materials to engage with to foster their interest in technology, literacy, math, science, art, and engineering.
They also need instructional materials to support their social-emotional learning to help them grow into well-rounded individuals. Every single one of my students deserves a fair chance at having his or her potential nurtured and fully developed. My little ones have an insatiable curiosity. It's important to me to have a class with a variety of instructional materials to meet their educational needs.
My Project
My preschool students will get in on the game with the Early Years Ball Toss and Lakeshore Activity Balls Set. The oversized hoop and net guarantee throwing success fostering their confidence and overall sense of achievement. In addition my little one's gross motor manipulative skills will be developing as they throw the balls into the hoop. The Wiggle Jiggle Fitness Fun CD, will help develop my student's spatial awareness, greater range of movement, develop strength and endurance. Furthermore, with the Let's Get Moving Numbers and Counting Kit my students will participate in movements such as skipping, hopping and touching toes all while boosting number and counting skills as they exercise! The Hop Along Balls will support my student's muscle building as they bounce around our outdoor play area. Kids spend a lot of time playing sedentary games and not get enough exercise, these materials will increase my student's confidence and help them develop a positive self image.
