I teach 29 third grade students in a gifted and talented classroom setting. My students come from families who are new to the country. Some of my students require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs. My students are very bright and they seek enrichment activities.
They like to move, they love to read, and they love lots of positive attention.
Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
My students are creative, clever, and very spontaneous.
My Project
These are some uncertain times that our students are experiencing and no one knows what the school day will look like. However, by providing my students with face coverings and sanitizing products it will allow them to feel safe and healthy throughout the school day. Even if we are learning virtually, my students will utilize these face coverings in their day to day lives as they are navigating their new reality. By having a class set of disposable masks and sanitizing products it will allow students and teachers to feel more comfortable about returning to school.
