This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Physical education is what motivates and lights our children's desire to come to school. The worth and perseverance of our students is inspiring because they never give up. The challenges they face, from economic hardships to academic endurance in the classroom, often pose as a test of adversity. However, they still desire to come to school everyday to participate in P.E. and continue to grow in their athletic skills to develop the foundation to a healthy lifestyle.
With this new equipment, our kids will develop the skills, foundation and mental endurance for a healthy lifestyle.
At our campus, our students would greatly benefit from team building skills that are found in basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. Since our student population is constantly growing in numbers, we are often lacking enough equipment resources to effectively deliver the lessons for our students. Our lessons will consist of much more than just the development of knowledge of the sports listed above...our students will learn how to share, problem-solve, communicate and persevere through challenges, which are all skills that will leave with them outside of our P.E. class.
