My Project

Have you ever wondered why some children struggle more than others in school?

Did they get enough sleep?

Did they have breakfast? Are they missing someone important in their life? These are all factors that can deeply impact a child's ability to learn and thrive in the classroom.

I believe that every child needs a strong support system—one that extends beyond their home. I also believe that trauma does not have to define a person. By providing a safe space for children to express their experiences and emotions, we can help them begin to heal.

My goal is to support students who have faced adversity by creating a therapeutic environment where they feel safe and can learn to process their emotions healthily. These resources—weighted stuffed animals, books, and imaginative play items—will provide comfort and aid in their social-emotional development, equipping them with skills they can carry with them for life.
